Daniel J. Henning, Chief Executive Officer
Prior to founding Community Management Associates, Inc. in 1989, Dan had an extensive career in Marketing and Sales Management for Fortune 500 companies. He was a District Marketing Manager for American Express, Regional Manager for Johnson & Johnson and Sales Representative for Mobil Oil. During his corporate tenure, Dan learned how to successfully manage projects while keeping an eye on the big picture. This training honed his entrepreneurial skills for his future company. He created and runs CMA with the core values of integrity, loyalty, and professionalism. Dan has successfully achieved the following Community Association Institute designations: CMCA, AMS, PCAM and has a CAM licenses from the Georgia Real Estate Commission. He is a proud ‘65 graduate of Ohio State University and devout Buckeye Football fan.

Dennis F. Hoffman, President & Broker
Prior to working with Dan Henning, Dennis spent three years working for another Association management company and developed a reputation as one of the finest managers in the community association property management industry in Atlanta. He was one of the first managers in the Atlanta area to obtain the CAI designation as a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM). He also holds a Georgia Real Estate Broker’s license. Prior to starting his Property Management career, he worked in the government sector in the human resource area. Dennis has a degree in accounting from the University of San Francisco and a MBA from the University of California Berkeley.

Eric J. Henning, Vice President
Eric Henning is a second-generation Property Manager; he and his father were the first father-son CAI PCAM’s in the nation. His day-to-day responsibilities include managing CMA’s Division Leaders while managing his own property portfolio. Eric is the recipient of the 2000 Rita Kennedy Award and has served the past two years as chairperson for the CAI Georgia Chapter. In 2003, he served as Treasurer for the CAI Board and taught a course for homeowners titled Approach To Solving Problems. This course is part of CAI’s ABC seminars held in Georgia and Nationally. He has served on the Legal Action Committee for CAI as well. In 2005, Eric served as President for CAI. Prior to joining CMA, he was a firefighter for more than five years.

A. Todd Ward, Vice President
Todd joined the CMA team in 2006 as a portfolio property manager. A year later, he assumed the responsibilities of his current position heading up CMA’s strategic projects and technology initiatives. Although he no longer manages properties, he maintains his Georgia real estate license and earned the CMCA designation in 2007. Todd was the first recipient of the “Rounding the Mark Award” (Employee of the Year) in 2007. Prior to joining CMA, he worked in Student Affairs at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and in advertising for the AJC and Gannett publishing. Todd is originally from Hickory, NC and has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Michele Richards, Vice President
Michele was promoted in 2009 from Division Leader to her current position after beginning her career with CMA in 2003. She is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for new business and marketing. Before joining CMA, Michele was a manager for Delta Air Lines for 15 years. She also served her community as a Fulton County Reserve Deputy for 10 years. Michele is originally from the Great White North (Canada, eh?) and holds her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Carleton University Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Kristen Valentine, Human Resources Director
Kristen has served as CMA’s Human Resources Director since 2005, and she is primarily responsible for payroll and benefits administration, staffing, performance management, and employment practices within the organization. Prior to joining CMA, Kristen was employed with Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. for more than fifteen years as a Human Resources Generalist and Trainer in the Texas Division and company headquarters in Florida. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of North Texas, with a BA in Communication and Public Address as well as English. As a native Texan, Kristen loves the great outdoors, excellent Tex-Mex food, and casual Fridays.

Tom Garreau, Controller
Tom is originally from Winter Park, Florida and a graduate of the University of Central Florida. Post graduation, he served in the United States Coast Guard. Upon Honorable Discharge, he worked as a Bank Examiner for the State of Georgia and later moved into management of banks, savings and loans and credit unions for 15 years. During this time period, Tom obtained his CPA certification from the State of Georgia. He has been working in property management for 10 years in the capacity as controller over operations. Tom’s favorite activities are camping, hiking, biking, swimming and sitting on the dock at Lake Hartwell.

Azra Sibic, Assistant Controller
Azra joined CMA in 2007. Before joining CMA she worked for five years as Senior Accountant for a residential property management in San Jose, CA (go Sharks). Azra is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina where she completed her Bachelors in Accounting. She is currently getting her education requirements ready to take the CPA exam. In her role, she is responsible for serving as back up for the Controller, as well as the Senior and Staff Accountants, managing the accounting personnel, implementation of new policies and continuous training of accounting staff. She also serves as a liaison between property managers and accounting. Azra loves to travel and spend time with her family.

Lisa Bailey, Office Manager
Lisa joined CMA in 2010 as an Operations Manager. She is primarily responsible for managing and coaching the team of Administrative Assistants providing support for all of CMA’s Property Managers and properties. Before joining the CMA family, Lisa worked in real estate development and has 15 years of experience in the Executive Suite industry as a General Manager providing sales and support to companies ranging from entrepreneurships to Fortune 500 companies. Lisa is an Atlanta native and holds her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Jacksonville State University.

Tracy Lanard, Director of Client Relations
Tracy joined CMA as a portfolio manager in 2005 and was promoted to Division Leader after three years. In 2010 she was promoted to Director of Client Relations where she leads a team of eight property managers and is responsible for the manager’s property assignments. After attending the University of Georgia, Tracy started her career in retail management where she managed high profile stores for Bath and Body Works. She has over a decade of customer service and management expertise including managing luxury multi-family apartment homes, condos, townhomes & homeowner’s associations. Tracy is the treasurer of Pink Heals foundation and dedicated UGA football fan.

Hollie Battle, Division Manager
Hollie Battle joined CMA in 2005 as an On-site Community Association Manager then as a Portfolio Manager and was then promoted to Division Leader. In her new role she is responsible for overseeing a division of 8 Community Association Managers along with managing her own portfolio. Hollie has an extensive background in property management from association, multi-family and residential real estate. Prior to joining CMA Hollie worked with Julian LeCraw and Company for seven years as a Senior Community Manager focusing on distressed multi-family communities. Hollie is a honorable veteran of the United States Army and a Georgia native.

Robyn Hicks, Division Manager
Robyn joined CMA in 2007 after 16 years at Delta Air Lines. After leaving her management position at Delta, Robyn began her career as a portfolio manager with CMA, and was promoted to the position of Division Leader after three years. She now leads a team of seven property managers as well as maintaining her own portfolio and working toward further enhancing CMA’s training department. Robyn graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1991 with a BA in Marketing and Communication. She has managed a wide variety of community associations ranging from properties still under developer control to condos, townhome communities and HOA’s.

Rhonda Moles, Division Manager & Associate Broker
Rhonda Moles joined the CMA team in 2005 as a portfolio manager and was promoted to Division Manager in 2007. Rhonda brings over 11 years of experience in the property management and real estate industry as well as having served on her own Board of Directors for her personal residence for four years. In addition to her regular duties, she is involved with training new managers at CMA. Rhonda is also the recipient of the CMA “Rounding the Mark Award” for 2009.

Jodi Phillips, Division Manager
Jodi Phillips has been a part of the CMA family since January of 2004 but has worked as an Association manager since February of 2002. Recently, Jodi was promoted to Division Manager where she manages her own portfolio as well as overseeing a Division of nine Association managers. Jodi was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois and as an adult has lived in Germany and Texas but has lived in Georgia since 1996.

Sean Rucker, Division Manager
Sean Rucker joined CMA in 2006 after working as an onsite manager for two years. He is from the Northeast, has spent time in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia, and has been in Georgia since 2001. He leads a team of eight property managers as well as maintaining his own portfolio. Sean has focused on preparing communities for natural and environmental disasters through preparedness plans. He has experience in helping communities cope during and after emergencies as well as long term Reserve Fund Budgeting. Sean is working to obtain the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) through Community Association Institute (CAI). He enjoys cycling and is training for a century ride this fall.

Richard Maritt, Training Coordinator
Richard Maritt joined CMA in January 2010 after working in the industry for five years (including three years as an onsite manager). He is originally from the Midwest and lived in Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and three cities in Texas before making his way to Georgia in 1998. Prior to making a career of property management, Richard was a corporate training assistant for a national hotel chain in addition to providing IT support to their locations. Experienced in opening new hotels, transitioning them from one brand to another, and in their daily operations, he found it easy to translate those duties to the tasks of the property management industry. With an education in Accounting and degree in Information Technology, Richard can bring a lot to the table of understanding the modern operation of an association. As well, Richard is accredited by the Community Association Institute (CAI) with the designations of CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) and AMS (Association Management Specialist).
Julio Claudio, Special Projects
Julio Claudio began his career with CMA in 1997 in the mailroom and as a file clerk. His many talents were recognized and he quickly assumed additional responsibilities allowing him to acquire comprehensive knowledge and experience in the property management industry – including Accounting, Administration, and Property Management. He has been a licensed Property Manager since 2006. After briefly venturing into actual property management where he gained a different perspective on the business, Julio returned to the CMA corporate offices as an Operations Manager working with both the Accounting and IT departments. In 2010 he was awarded the “Rounding the Mark Award” for his contributions to these groups.
Latonya Cantrell, Transition Manager
Latonya has been employed with CMA since 2007 as a member of the Accounting Department. She has recently taken on the role of Transition Manager, and is responsible for ensuring that all new properties in the CMA portfolio experience a seamless transition into the CMA family. Prior to joining CMA, she used her customer service skills in retail and worked as an Administrative Assistant with the Department of Family and Children Services. She obtained her degree in Accounting at GA State University.
Tene Edmondson, Accounting Manager
Tené joined CMA in 2006 and now serves as Accounting Manager. She is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures, supervising staff accountants and accounting assistants, ensuring that financial statement are prepared accurately and in a timely manner. Tené is adept at addressing tight deadlines and is able to handle a multitude of accounting activities. In her free time, Tené dedicates herself to outreach programs that give back to the community. She holds a BA degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA and continued her education at the University of West Georgia located in Carrolton, GA.
